The curriculum is designed to support the holistic development of children, including their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. It is a flexible framework that allows early years practitioners to tailor their teaching to the individual needs of the children. The Development Matters Curriculum recognises that all children are unique and have their own learning styles, interests and abilities. 

Our curriculum is implemented through play-based learning, allowing children to explore and discover the world around them. Play is a fundamental part of learning as it supports children’s curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Play allows children to develop communication and social skills, as they learn to interact with others and share ideas. 

We use a variety of teaching methods including observation, interaction and assessment, to support children’s learning and development. We work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that children are fully supported.
