We are a Development Matters-based nursery. We care for children from 3 months to 5 years old and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on learning and creativity. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
Lullabies Day Nursery got its start in Hounslow in 2020 by Mariam Shamshudin. We decided to do things a bit differently at Lullabies by creating a space which fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment where children from 3 months old to 5 years old can explore the world around them.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

Our Setting Includes:
Our beautiful old-rectory building provides a unique, charming and historic setting for children to learn and grow in.
Our nursery offers a tranquil and secure environment for children to explore, learn and play.
600 square foot garden with climbing frames that is perfect for children to explore and enjoy.
Our garden provides A Vegetable Patch where children can plant their own fruit/vegetables and learn about nature, healthy eating and sustainability.
Our vegetable patch garden fosters pride, accomplishment and natural world learning.
Mud Kitchen that encourages children to explore the natural world while developing their creativity and social skills through sensory and imaginative play with mud, sand and water.
A Library filled with a range of age-appropriate books to encourage imagination and literary skills.
Our library aims to promote a lifelong passion for learning and reading!
On-site parking to allow for easy pick-up and drop-off!
We are able to offer a wide variety of activities, including gardening, music, dance and more.

Sleeping Bunnies
3 months - 2 years
Our Sleeping Bunnies Room has an adjoining sleeping area for babies, with a main room and access to a private baby garden.
We focus on creating a comfortable and secure environment for our youngest children. Our experienced staff are here to help your little one meet those developmental milestones with a range of sensory activities and age-appropriate toys. We use many natural materials and have curated a sensory adventure in our Sleeping Bunnies Room. We know how precious your child is to you and so we keep our parents up-to-date with regular photos throughout the day - so you can see just what fun activities your child gets up to throughout the day!
Sunflowers
2 years - 3 years
Our Sunflowers room allows children to continue to feel comfortable and safe but also explore a wide range of new themed activities designed to aid their development.
Our Sunflowers wear a uniform to help them prepare for school. Our detailed curriculum ensures that your child builds a solid foundation that will set them up for educational and personal success. We offer age-appropriate activities and projects that allow your child to explore their own interests.
Butterflies
3 years - 5 years
Our Butterflies room provides a safe and engaging environment for your child to continue to explore their interests and develop those key critical skills.
We follow a carefully planned curriculum that focuses on the prime and specific areas.

We are here to make sure your child is prepared for school and gets the best start to their education.
Other Rooms:
Library
Our library offers a wide range of books and resources aimed at fostering a love of reading and improving children’s literacy development.
In addition to story time and phonics practice, children are able to borrow books to take home in their book bags. We also offer various extracurricular activities such as makaton, yoga, and guided meditation. We strongly encourage parents to join their child in using the library and to develop a love of reading together.
Calming and Relaxation Room
We have a calming and relaxing room that provides a sensory-based environment for neurodivergent children.
The room is decorated with soothing colours and sensory lights, and we offer a variety of sensory-based toys and equipment to create a calming environment.
Our goal is to help children learn how to self-regulate their emotions and feel comfortable in a safe and supportive space.
Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including childcare for infants and toddlers, and preschoolers.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our setting.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
Lullabies Day Nursery also runs a Holiday Club for children aged 5 years old to 11 years old. Our Holiday Club aims to continue children’s learning while providing creative opportunities and activities that they may not do at school!
We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children, where they will be encouraged to try new things and explore the world around them. Here at Lullabies, we strive to provide accessible, high-quality childcare and so we work alongside the council and are involved in the HAF programme to ensure every child has the best possible start in life.
